Maud Wilson

Maud Wilson came to Oak Park in 1915. She has been a member of the Art League since 1925, serving as Corresponding Secretary and Recording Secretary for several years.

She was born and lived her early life in Chicago. Letters from an artist cousin in England encouraged her in the study of art.

She attended The Chicago Academy of Fine Arts, and studied at the Art Students’ League in New York, with the Spanish painter, Luis Mora.

Has exhibited at the Art League, Nineteenth Century Womans Club, Chicago Womans Club, All-Illinois Society of the Fine Arts, and others.

Paints especially figures and portraits. Interest has been divided between music and painting.
